I am a PhD student at the European Center for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics (ECARES), Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia. I did my bachelor and a first Master in Economics at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (finished in 2003 and 2005 respectively).  In 2005, I joined the University of Antioquia (Medellín, Colombia)  as a professor and researcher. I worked there for nearly seven years. In 2012 I moved to Belgium, where I did the Master in Economics – Research Focus at Université Catholique de Louvain (academic year 2012-2013).  Then, I did the doctoral training program at the Doctoral School of ECARES, Université Libre de Bruxelles  (ULB).

My current research interests are development economics, Inequality and labor markets. In past years,  I worked on human capital, education and the analysis of socioeconomic indicators.
